Redmi A4 5G: Specifications and Features

Design and Display: The Redmi A4 5G features a sleek, rounded, glossy camera module at the back, which resembles the design of the previous Redmi A3 (4G), though with a shinier finish. The phone’s flat frame houses the volume and power buttons on the right-hand side, with a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, just like its predecessor. A 3.5mm headphone jack is conveniently placed at the top edge of the device. The phone sports a premium halo glass back design, adding a touch of elegance.

It boasts a large 6.88-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth navigation and a fluid viewing experience. The display reaches a peak brightness of 600 nits, making it clear and vibrant even in bright conditions. Additionally, the screen comes equipped with eye protection technology, featuring Low Blue Light, TUV Ciraidian, and Flicker-free technology for enhanced comfort during prolonged use.

Processor: The Redmi A4 5G is the first smartphone under Rs 10,000 to feature the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. This is the only 4nm Snapdragon chip available in this segment, offering a powerful performance boost. The octa-core processor, built on Samsung’s 4nm architecture, consists of two high-performance Cortex-A78 cores running at speeds of up to 2GHz, and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores running at up to 1.8GHz. It is paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage, which ensures smooth multitasking and fast data transfer. The phone comes with Xiaomi’s HyperOS, based on Android 14, providing a modern user interface and promising two years of Android updates and four years of security updates.

Camera: The Redmi A4 5G is equipped with a dual-camera setup, featuring a 50-megapixel primary camera. The camera comes with AI enhancements and a range of creative modes, including time-lapse, portrait mode, 10x zoom, and a film camera feature. For selfies and video calls, it includes a 5-megapixel front camera, ensuring decent quality for social media and virtual meetings.

Battery: The device is powered by a 5,160mAh battery, which ensures all-day usage on a single charge. It also supports 18W fast charging, with a 33W charger available for purchase separately at Rs 1,999. This combination of battery life and fast charging makes the Redmi A4 5G a reliable choice for users seeking both longevity and convenience.
